ABOUT US

If you're looking for the cheapest t-shirt printing around, you've come to the wrong place. Jump Start Screenpritning wasn't founded on the idea of giving our customers the cheapest price for t-shirts when compared to other shops. It was founded on punk rock ethics, and that includes printing as much as possible on sweatshop free tees, which usually means our prices are slightly higher than a lot of other print shops that pander to the lowest common denominator and print on t-shirts that are being made in sweatshops across the globe by low paid workers that work in horrid conditions. So, if you're looking for shitty quality tees for the lowest possible price, you should look someplace else. If you want high quality prints, fast turnaround, and most importantly, sweatshop free garments, Jump Start Screenprinting is for you.

Jump Start Screenprinting is owned and operated by Jump Start Records. The idea to start printing professionally was a logical choice for the label, seeing as for years the label had been printing one-color t-shirts and patches for many of the bands both on the label and friendly to the cause. We say it was a logical choice mainly because we knew how to print, had extensive printing experience in the past, but didn't have a full-blown professional press, dryers, or other essential tools to run a pro-printing shop.

In December 2001, after years of contracting out print work, we purchased a professional four-color press, and flash and tunnel dryers to help get the shop on its feet. We have the ability to print t-shirts, hoodies, and other merchandise up to four colors, and can do so at affordable and competitive prices as compared to other local and regional print shops. We cater specifically to bands in the area, and offer discounts and credit for those that are in need for high volume jobs and are short on cash. We are a print shop run by musicians for musicians. We know what you want, what you're looking for, and we're pretty sure we can get it to you with a quick turnaround time, solid pricing, and superior quality prints.

One of our main goals is to print only on textiles and garments that are made in the United States. Most major screenprinting companies, even some that align themselves with the punk rock community, print on garments and textiles by major brands like Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, Jerzees, Anvil, and Gildan that are made in sweatshops . WE DO NOT! Our primariy t-shirt and textile manufaturer and distributor is Alstyle/Murina, whose main styles are 100% made in the United States. If at all possible, we try to avoid printing on garments that are made in sweatshops in countries like Hondorus, El Salvador, Haiti, and Vietnam. In an industry swamped with what we would consider sweatshop garments, that's no easy task.

Check the tags on some of your favorite t-shirts and see where the shirts you own were made. We do not support companies who pay workers unfair wages to work in unsafe and hazardous condtions. Neither should you!

If you're looking for quality prints on sweatshop free high quality garments, you've come to the right place. Quality and ethics are more important than the lowest market price you can find. We try to bring all of these aspects to the table and hope we can be of service to you for your printing needs.
